Portrait Photographers – ALICIA and RICHARD

We spent the Christmas holiday in South Africa and were in the Western Cape for a few days when we decided to pull out the cameras for a shoot (after we decided not to “work” during this time). The great thing is that sometimes work doesn’t really seem like work, especially when you have a super cool couple like Richard & Alicia in front of the lens. At the time we found these really awesome locations where we wanted to shoot, but we had one problem – no models! So our search began…and it wasn’t long until it dawned on us that we actually knew a couple in the area – Richard & Alicia! We knew them from their time here in London but they had since moved back to South Africa. So we contacted them, they agreed and the rest is history! With photography, sometimes you have an idea of what you would like to achieve with a shoot, but these images totally exceeded our expectations – from the quirky little coffee shop at the railway station through to the images taken on the beach. We loved shooting somewhere slightly different and we hope you enjoy looking through these images as much as we enjoyed shooting them. Alicia & Richard, you guys were great – thank you for being so awesome!

Anna-Belle in London

Meet Anna-Belle. Something a little different and one of the luckiest dresses to ever travel the world! This fabulous masterpiece was designed by South African fashion designer, Stefania Morland and the concept behind Anna-belle was for photographers from all over to shoot this dress and after a year, she will return to her homeland and invite everyone to an exhibition where every art work, created by all the lucky-enough artists to come into contact with her, will be auctioned off for charity.

When our good friend Stefan Steenkamp from Zara-Zoo (click here to see his photos) first mentioned the idea of bringing Anna-Belle with him on his recent trip to Europe, we were of course super excited and started planning our shoot with her. And what a shoot it was! Thank you to everyone who helped make it such a success and of course to Stefania Morland – without you there would have been no Anna-belle!

So without any further ado, we would like to introduce Anna-belle…in London!

Wedding Photographers Kent – HETTIE and ALBERTO – Part 2

We are very excited to share part 2 of Hettie & Alberto’s wedding at The High Rocks in Tunbridge Wells, Kent. There is just something amazing about photographing intimate weddings – especially during the winter! Because we know Hettie and Alberto from church, we also knew most of the guests. Their immediate family flew over from South Africa to share in the celebrations and it was the combined effort of friends and family that made the day a huge success. Hettie and Alberto, it was a great privilege to observe, photograph and celebrate this day with them – thank you for letting us be there. We can just see how happy you guys make each other and we wish you a lifetime of happiness!

Be sure to check out our last blog post (part 1) for our take on this wedding.

We’d like to share with you something a little different…Jo & Khaled’s wedding reception at Belchamp Hall a stunning venue tucked away in the North Essex countryside. Belchamp Hall is just over an hour’s drive from where we are based and on our way there, we found ourselves driving through some of the most amazing villages and beautiful country roads – always a great kick-start to build expectations of an event and what a great event it was! Jo & Khaled had a marquee set up with a Moroccan theme for their wedding reception and with some really great food and entertainment for the night, we could tell their guests had an amazing time. Thank you guys for letting us share this event with you. Wishing you all the best for your future together!

Wedding Photographers London – HETTIE and ALBERTO – Part 1

We have had a full year with weddings and Hettie and Alberto’s wedding at The High Rocks in Tunbridge Wells, Kent is exactly the reason why we love doing what we do! It was a day they shared with close family and friends. A day filled with love, fun and many great moments. Due to the ceremony taking place quite late in the afternoon, Hettie and Alberto decided that they wanted their portrait photos taken before the ceremony to allow enough time with their guests during the evening reception. So we arranged to photograph their “First Look” at the Royal Wells Hotel in Kent where Hettie got ready. A First Look is where the groom sees his bride for the very first time on the wedding day and we absolutely love how Hettie and Alberto’s images turned out. You can view these below. Because we couldn’t narrow down our favourite images from the day to just a few, we’ve decided to blog this wedding in two parts. Please keep an eye out for Part 2 with the ceremony and reception images that will be up on the blog soon! In the meanwhile we hope you enjoy these.

Wedding Photographers London – ALBERTO and HETTIE

We were so lucky with the weather on the last weekend in September when we did Hettie & Alberto’s engagement shoot around the South Bank and Waterloo Station. They are getting married in November and since we know them from church, we were of course very excited when they asked us to be a part of their special day. Guys, we know you are going to have an awesome future ahead of you and we can’t wait for the wedding. We hope you like these few taster shots from the engagement shoot – we love them!
